As a prerequisite to this step your company will have agreed to a set of agreed upon scope of work for an inspection (also known as Assignment Requirements) and your company will have performed the inspection within the method and means that allow you to complete the inspection. This article will walk you through how to add your inspection using the website version of the Land Gorilla platform.
The web version of our apps provides a different user experience that is more aligned with performing the inspection onsite and then returning to a laptop or computer to submit the inspection photos and analysis. The web version is a 3 step process of 1. providing photos, 2. enter line item percentages, and 3. submitting the information.
Please note that the line items and data is provided by the client requesting the inspection on the platform and represent the work your company agreed to inspect.
To create your report, find the order and click on the orange Create Inspection Report button.
- Upload Photos.
- Select +Upload Photos and include all that were taken on the site. The user interface will allow you to rotate images, delete images, and provide photo descriptions.

- Enter line item percentages
- You can use the Actions dropdown menu to reveal upload options.
- Copy Previous Inspection (if available) will add the most recent inspection information to the current inspection report.
- Intelligent Document Processing allows inspectors to upload a photo of handwritten inspection data. This tool uses Optical Character Recognition to read your handwriting when using the ‘Blank Inspection Report Form’.
- Import Report Information allows inspectors to upload a photo or PDF of their inspection data
- Blank Inspection Report will provide the inspector with a PDF file containing all line items, but no values. The inspector can save this file, print as needed, and upload the inspection information using the "Import Report Information" option
- The percentage of completion, comments, and photos can also be associated in this step. The Cost Type will help the inspector understand if they are reviewing a Direct Cost, Indirect Cost, or Other Cost.
- An option of Non-Inspectable Item is provided for line items descriptions are not inspectable.
- Verify that all the information provided is correct and click Submit.
- Submitting the Inspection Report
- The inspection report can be submitted by making a final attestation that the information you are providing is true and correct.
